Larrell Hughes, AIA, CSI, NCARB
Mr. Hughes has practiced architecture for over four decades. As a firm partner and later as a single owner, projects have been completed across the US, plus Canada, Mexico, Haiti and Africa. "I have been very fortunate in my career to work for many types of clients. Governmental, private companies, corporations, ecclesiastical groups, medical facilities, developers, industrial clients, academia, and various others have awarded my firm contracts for planning and facilities." From these projects, numerous awards and recognition have been received by the firm, employees and individually.

Service offerings by L Hughes Associates, Architect include not only architecture and design, but site master planning, building program development, overall budget management, and building construction management.

Recruited by The University of Alabama in Huntsville to become the first Campus Architect, Mr. Hughes served 15 years, while still maintaining his private practice. His tenure with UAH allowed not only extensive additional experience in areas of practice, but more direct understanding of Owner needs, longevity of building products and budget control. He was instrumental in the campus' transformation from "commuter campus" to "live-on campus" with student life and facilities and designed the core campus to promote pedestrian movement from vehicular.

Today Mr. Hughes continues his practice with many former clients in addition to many new clients. "I am selective of projects I now pursue, simply because I choose to limit my firm growth. It is important to me that if a client chooses my firm for services, I can personally provide expertise and guidance."
